COVID-19 Update: the 2020 IBII Conferences Have Been Made Virtual Events

Friends, Colleagues—

Every year, we look forward to connecting with our community of faculty, staff and students with our Institute of Business Intelligence Innovation (IBII) conferences. With the growing concerns surrounding COVID-19 (coronavirus), and the recent discovery of cases located in Harris County and Montgomery County (the Houston-area), we have made the incredibly difficult decision to cancel the in-person component of our conferences scheduled for March March 30-31, 2020.

Our decision came as we are trying to prioritize the health and safety of our participants, partners, and respect for our sponsor for this year’s event, Lone Star Community College System. We have explored other ways to keep the in-person presentations, but it has become clear that the safety of all attendants outweighs all else. We apologize for the inconvenience this may have caused.

In place of the in-person event, we are developing the means for our academic community to present virtually. The 2020 IBII conferences have been made a virtual event. We will share via email additional details on our plans for IBII conferences in the next couple of weeks.
